Baghdad: The National Political Council convened a meeting this evening at the residence of Mohammed Al-Halbousi, the head of the Progress Party, with full attendance of its members.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, parliamentary sources indicated that the leadership of the Political Council plans to nominate six candidates for the position of Speaker of Parliament. However, the names of the candidates have not been disclosed.
