Najaf: The National Security Service in Najaf has successfully dismantled an international network involved in drug trafficking. The operation marks a significant achievement in the ongoing battle against drug-related crimes in the region.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation led to the arrest of three key members of the network, including its leader. The network was reportedly importing drugs from a neighboring country. During the arrest, one suspect opened fire on the security forces, prompting them to respond and compel him to surrender. The authorities have seized various weapons, drug paraphernalia, and approximately half a kilo of crystal methamphetamine in the operation.
