Baghdad: The Military Operations Administration in Syria announced the dissolution of the People’s Assembly, the Baath Party, the army, and the security services, and the cancellation of the constitution.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the spokesman for the Military Operations Administration stated that Ahmed al-Sharaa, the commander of the new administration, will undertake the responsibilities of the presidency of the republic. He will also have the authority to establish a temporary legislative council during the transitional period.
