Baghdad: The Presidency of the Republic welcomed the ceasefire decision between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Zionist entity. The Presidency issued a statement expressing commendation for this decision and emphasized the importance of its implementation. It urged all parties involved to exercise restraint and avoid further escalation to prevent the region from being dragged into an open conflict.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidency reaffirmed its support for steps that consolidate security and stability in the region. It expressed appreciation for the role of international mediators, particularly the United States of America and the State of Qatar, in ending the ongoing conflict.

The Presidency also called for continued efforts to halt the war in Gaza. It urged movement towards a comprehensive and just resolution to the Palestinian issue by implementing international legitimacy resolutions and enabling the Palestinian people to determine their fate.
