Washington: US President Donald Trump announced that he will meet with Iranian officials next week and may ask for a pledge that Iran will not resume its nuclear activities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump stated during a press conference that Iran fought a war and expressed that the Iranians are seeking funds to rebuild their country, with China potentially buying oil from them.

He further mentioned that the US had previously targeted Iran before it could move any nuclear materials from the bombed facilities. Trump emphasized that the conflict has concluded and reiterated plans to meet with the Iranian representatives soon, possibly requesting assurance from Iran regarding the non-resumption of its nuclear activities.
