Baghdad: The Presidency of the Republic has issued a strong condemnation of the recent targeting of oil fields in the Khurmala region of Erbil and Sarsink in Dohuk, alongside other affected areas.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidency emphasized that these repeated attacks pose a significant threat to the nation’s security and stability. The statement stressed that the attacks undermine the economy’s foundation and target the public interests of the state, further endangering the security of citizens. The Presidency urged for increased efforts to protect economic facilities and ensure a conducive environment for investment companies to continue operations in Iraq.

The statement also called upon the relevant security agencies within both the federal and regional governments to take swift and appropriate actions. The Presidency highlighted the importance of identifying the perpetrators and preventing future occurrences of such terrorist activities that jeopardize Iraq’s economy and the safety of its citizens.
