Baghdad: The Presidency of the Republic has urged the Iraqi populace to engage actively and widely in the forthcoming parliamentary elections, underlining the significance of adhering to the principle of peaceful power transition through constitutional and democratic means via the ballot box.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidency emphasized that Iraq is at a significant juncture, poised to reinforce peace, stability, and development through the elections. These elections are seen as a testament to the people's commitment to peaceful power transition within the frameworks of constitutional and democratic practices.

The statement further called on Iraqi voters and security forces to participate actively in the electoral process. It encouraged them to vote freely and responsibly in selecting their representatives for the Council of Representatives, thereby contributing to the enhancement of security and stability in the nation.

The Presidency highlighted that broad participation is crucial to addressing current shortcomings and evolving the political system. Such participation is vital for forming a robust federal government that aligns with citizens' aspirations, meets their needs, preserves Iraq's unity, independence, sovereignty, and fosters cooperative constitutional relationships between the federal government, the Kurdistan Regional Government, and other provinces.

The statement concluded by acknowledging the significant sacrifices made by the Iraqi people and security forces, including the army, police, Peshmerga, and Popular Mobilization Forces, as well as the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of a free, strong, and independent Iraq.
