The WFP Stresses the Urgent Need for Humanitarian Aid to Reach the Gaza Strip

Gaza City: The World Food Programme (WFP) emphasized the immediate necessity for humanitarian aid to reach the Gaza Strip, citing the depletion of food supplies. The continued closure of crossings by Israeli forces has been highlighted as a part of what the WFP describes as a starvation policy against Palestinians.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the UN programme reiterated the grave risk faced by hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza. They are at risk of severe hunger and malnutrition due to the current situation. The WFP has been vocal about the need for urgent aid through public platforms like its Twitter account, underscoring the critical situation in the region.

The World Food Programme had previously warned about the escalating risk of severe hunger and malnutrition faced by Gaza’s population. With food stocks rapidly diminishing and aid crossings remaining closed, the situation continues to deteriorate, putting thousands at risk.
