Caretaker Minister of Tourism, Walid Nassar, invited all the media to attend and cover the events celebrating the selection of the Lebanese village of Douma in the initiative of the best tourist villages in the world for the year 2023 by the United Nations Tourism Organization, which will be held in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Organization, Zurab Pololikashvili, who will visit Lebanon for the first time on this occasion next Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

The celebration will take place over three days. The opening event will begin on the first day in a press conference held by Minister Nassar, in the presence of Pololikashvili, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024, in the Leila Solh Hamadeh Hall at the Ministry of Tourism in the Hamra-Beirut area, followed by a tour in the city of Jbeil and the Kfardebian region.

On the second day, the activities will culminate in a major celebration that will be held in the village of Douma, with a tourism program including the inauguration of the old Douma
market after its restoration, on Friday, May 17, 2024, starting at 10:00 a.m.

On the third day, the celebration activities will conclude with a tourism tour in the Chouf, Deir El Qamar and Beiteddine areas, starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024.
