Trabzon: The president of Turkish club Trabzonspor has firmly denied any negotiations to sign Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah. According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan refuted claims of the club's interest in bringing Salah to their team. Speaking to Turkish channel A Spor, Dogan acknowledged Salah's stature in the game, stating, "Mohamed Salah is one of the best players in the history of the English Premier League, and who wouldn't want him?" However, he clarified that their admiration for Salah does not equate to ongoing negotiations or a potential signing deal. Dogan further commented, "There is no such agreement, and there are no plans for Salah to come to Trabzon tomorrow. If that were the case, I would have announced it immediately to the fans and the media." This statement comes amid rampant media speculation suggesting that Trabzonspor had taken advantage of Salah's hesitance to join their rivals, Besiktas, reportedly offering him a lucrative contract of £17 million annually for two seasons. The Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, recently became a free agent after terminating his contract with Liverpool FC last June, making him a coveted target for various major clubs in Europe and the Middle East.
