Karbala: The Director of the General Traffic Directorate, Lieutenant General Uday Samir al-Hassani, conducted a field tour this morning along the route of pilgrims heading to the holy city of Karbala. The tour aimed to assess the traffic situation and monitor the implementation of the plan to regulate pilgrim traffic, ensuring smooth flow and securing the roads leading to the city.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Traffic Directorate stated in a press release that the tour included direct supervision of the removal of encroachments and violations, specifically the haphazard erection of kiosks on both sides of the road. These kiosks obstruct the movement of vehicles and pedestrians, impacting traffic flow and the safety of pilgrims.

During the tour, the Director of the General Traffic Directorate emphasized the necessity of adhering to traffic regulations and not obstructing sidewalks and public roads. He stressed the continuation of field efforts and coordination with supporting agencies to remove all obstacles, thus contributing to a safe and organized environment for pilgrims during their journey to the holy city of Karbala.
