Ankara: Trkiye has condemned the Israeli airstrikes on the Abu al-Duhur military airport located in the Idlib countryside of eastern Syria. The Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that these continuous Israeli attacks on Syrian infrastructure are a violation of the country’s territorial integrity and urged the international community to take decisive action to halt them.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Turkish Foreign Ministry released a statement expressing concern over Israel’s persistent targeting of Syrian infrastructure and capabilities. The ministry emphasized that these actions represent a breach of Syria’s territorial sovereignty.
The ministry called for a stronger international response to Israeli aggression, highlighting that the frequency and scale of these attacks are increasing. Furthermore, it demanded accountability for the actions that violate international law.
The airstrikes conducted by Israeli aircraft targeted the runway of the Abu al-Duhur military airport, resulting in material damage to the airport’s infrastructure. The attack, which involved eight airstrikes, took place at dawn on Tuesday.
