Ankara: Trkiye announced today the deployment of additional firefighting teams, reinforced with specialized aircraft, to combat the expanding forest fires, particularly in the southwestern provinces.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) stated in a press release today that authorities have deployed more than 3,500 firefighters and over 70 specialized aircraft, including fixed-wing planes and helicopters, in addition to naval support. This action comes as some of these fires have broken out in mountainous forests overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

AFAD indicated in its statement that forest fires were recorded in 10 southwestern regions of the country in the past 24 hours, including the provinces of Antalya, €š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬¡anakkale, Manisa, Bursa, Mugla, Balikesir, Izmir, Ktahya, and Aydin.

It explained that high temperatures, strong winds, and the rugged terrain of the mountainous forest areas have contributed to the fires' spread, despite the significant efforts being made.
