Baghdad:Washington: US President Donald Trump confirmed the departure of the last American troops from Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a tweet, Trump expressed his satisfaction with the withdrawal, stating, “I am pleased to announce that the last American troops are leaving Iraq today.” He highlighted that the exit of coalition forces and equipment signifies the conclusion of the US military presence in the country.

Trump further commented on the political situation in Iraq, expressing his support for the current leadership. He stated, “We are leaving Iraq with an outstanding Prime Minister, Ali Faleh al-Zaidi, whom I fully support.”
