Florida: US President Donald Trump urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during their meeting to expedite reaching an agreement to end the war with Russia, warning him of the potential loss of further territory. "Some of that territory has already been taken," Trump told reporters at his Florida residence. "Some of that territory may still be available, but it could be taken in the next few months."
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump's warning comes as the Russian military continues its advance on the ground, further limiting Kyiv's options. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia had previously urged Ukraine to grant the people of Donbas the right to self-determination, but Kyiv "preferred the option of war."
He added that Russia's interest in the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from the territories they have seized "is reduced to zero" in light of the pace of the Russian military advance.
