Izmir: Turkey confirms it is working with Azerbaijan to enhance energy supplies and security in Europe and the world. Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar affirmed that his country and Azerbaijan make essential contributions to ensuring oil supplies and enhancing energy security at the regional and international levels.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a press conference on Thursday, on the sidelines of the 4th Turkish-Azerbaijani Energy Forum held in the western city of Izmir, with the participation of Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, Bayraktar said that Turkish-Azerbaijani cooperation in the energy sector has reached a high level and is not limited to bilateral contributions to the development of the two countries’ economies, but rather extends to a vital role in securing energy supplies to Europe and the world.

For his part, Azerbaijani Minister Parviz Shahbazov emphasized that the two countries have worked together for many years as key partners in achieving regional peace, emphasizing that the partnership between Ankara and Baku encompasses various fields, in addition to energy.

Shahbazov said that the forum constitutes an impetus for further strengthening the long-standing relations between the two countries and developing prospects for future cooperation.

The forum, organized in cooperation between the relevant institutions of the two countries, is attended by more than 3,000 delegates, including diplomats and senior officials from Turkey, Azerbaijan, and several countries around the world.
