Ankara: Turkey’s Future Party has officially announced its dissolution following the retirement of its leader, Ahmet Davutoglu, from politics. The announcement marks the end of the party’s political activities, as confirmed by a unanimous vote at an extraordinary general congress attended by party delegates.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the party’s concluding statement emphasized that the decision to dissolve is “not a surrender or a retreat, but rather a commitment to protecting the ethical values and fundamental principles of political action.” This statement reflects the party’s dedication to maintaining its core values even as it ceases operations.

Ahmet Davutoglu, the former Prime Minister of Turkey and the leader of the Future Party, had earlier made public his retirement from the political arena, signifying his departure from active political engagement. The dissolution of the party follows his announcement, signaling an end to its efforts in the Turkish political landscape.
