Basra: Basra Provincial Council member, Shukr Mahmoud Al-Ameri, engaged in a discussion about the water crisis and the shared challenges between Iraq and Turkey with the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Ameri confirmed that a government delegation, which will include the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Water Resources, is planning to visit Turkey soon. The purpose of the visit is to explore potential solutions and foster technical cooperation in addressing the water crisis.

In a statement, the Turkish Ambassador highlighted that the water crisis is a global issue, noting that certain regions in Turkey are also experiencing a shortage of water resources.

During their meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of ongoing communication and joint coordination between Iraq and Turkey. This collaboration aims to serve mutual interests and bolster bilateral relations between the two nations.
