Baghdad: The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of a cave containing 33 rooms used by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in northern Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Turkish Ministry of Defense stated in a post on the X platform on Monday that the cave is located in the “Claw Lock” operations area and is 1,800 meters long. The post also highlighted that large quantities of weapons, ammunition, and equipment were seized in the cave before its complete destruction.

It is worth noting that the Turkish Army had carried out a large-scale military operation on April 18, 2021, called “Claw Lock” against PKK strongholds in regions including Metina, Kara, Hakurk, Zap, Afsin, and Bazian in northern Iraq.
