Turkish Club Trabzonspor Presents Mohamed Salah to Its Fans in a Massive Public Event

Trabzon: Turkish club Trabzonspor presented their new Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, to their fans on Thursday evening at a massive ceremony held at the Babara Park stadium. Thousands of fans had packed the stands since early morning to welcome the Egyptian national team captain.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Salah began the presentation ceremony with a walk around the pitch wearing the number 10 jersey, accompanied by club president Ertugrul Dogan, amidst enthusiastic cheers and a huge reaction from the fans. The pair then proceeded to a special platform to complete the signing of the player's contract with the team.

During the ceremony, Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan said, "We wish our international star all the best at our club," before giving the floor to Salah, who expressed his immense happiness at this step.

The Egyptian star said, "I am very happy. Hello... I wish I could speak Turkish, but I can't, so let me express my feelings. I have never seen anything like this before."

He added: "You have shown incredible love yesterday and today, thank you so much to all of you. I am very happy to be here. I came to win, and I am eagerly looking forward to starting training and playing matches. I want to win trophies, and I am here to win titles. I can't wait to play in front of you."

Following the signing ceremony, Salah returned to the pitch to greet the fans again, before fireworks lit up the sky above Babara Park. Fans illuminated the stands with their mobile phones in a unique celebratory display, and the player concluded the ceremony by waving to the fans before leaving the stadium.

Trabzonspor had announced earlier on Thursday the official signing of Mohamed Salah for two seasons in a free transfer deal, following the mutual termination of his contract with Liverpool, despite having one year remaining on his contract with the club.
