Baghdad: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has embarked on a series of intensive diplomatic communications, engaging with several counterparts to address and resolve regional and international conflicts. Over the past four days, these discussions have focused on ongoing crises and efforts to establish lasting peace.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, on July 31, Minister Fidan engaged in a conversation with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan, where they discussed the latest regional developments and initiatives aimed at resolving current conflicts. This was followed by an August 1 phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, where the focus was on negotiations to end regional wars.

In his discussions, Fidan has reiterated Turkey's commitment to playing a pivotal role in peace efforts. On August 3, he conversed with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah about the current situation in the region. Additionally, Fidan reached out to newly appointed British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, extending congratulations on his new role while also addressing the Middle Eastern situation, particularly in the Gaza Strip, and the broader Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

Turkey's diplomatic initiatives are ongoing, with a concentrated focus on mitigating the Middle East's persistent conflicts. These include the US-Iran tensions, Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and Tel Aviv's aggressive actions towards Syria and Lebanon.
