Ankara: The Speaker of the Turkish Parliament affirms that the passage of the law promoting national solidarity and social integration is a success for all of Turkey. Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus affirmed that the successful passage of the Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration is not a victory for just one party, but a victory for all of Turkey.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, speaking at a press conference in Parliament, Kurtulmus said, “We reached this stage thanks to diligent and meticulous work. It wasn’t just about drafting the bill; every word and sentence was carefully considered to achieve this result.”

He noted that “at times there were very difficult political junctures, and through diplomatic efforts, we ensured a consensus on a specific path and direction, which is of paramount importance.”

He emphasized that reaching this stage is highly significant, asserting that “the goal of a Turkey free from terrorism, which began with the work of the National Solidarity, Fraternity, and Democracy Committee in Turkey, is also about building a Turkish model.”

He explained that Turkey’s political resolve and the “Great Turkey” model are the product of study and effort undertaken within the framework of parliamentary powers. He noted that the discussions held and the resulting resolve demonstrate that Parliament possesses exceptional authority, and that this political power is among Turkey’s most important achievements.

Kurtulmus thanked all the deputies who contributed to this work, congratulating all the political parties, their leaders, and their chairpersons who participated in this process.

Last night, the Turkish Parliament passed the “Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration” bill, prepared within the framework of the “Turkey Without Terrorism” initiative, making it law.

The bill’s passage in the General Assembly of Parliament came after nearly 12 hours of debate. It received 468 votes in favor, 88 against, and 6 abstentions.
