Babil: Two fugitives have been apprehended by the Babil Governorate Intelligence and Security Directorate in a significant operation. Among the captured individuals, one had previously been sentenced to death by hanging in absentia by the Wasit Criminal Court in 2002 under Article (406/Penal Code). The second fugitive was also wanted by the same court under the same legal provision.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrest was executed through a carefully planned ambush in the city of Hillah. The operation is described as proactive and high-quality, reflecting the diligent intelligence efforts of the security forces. Following the arrests, the necessary legal procedures are underway to ensure the fugitives face the justice prescribed by law.
