Baghdad: The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of two international drug traffickers and the seizure of large quantities of narcotics in Diyala and Basra.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated that the arrest of the two traffickers was conducted through two separate operations. These operations targeted drug smuggling and trafficking networks, relying on precise intelligence and intensive field surveillance.

The Ministry further detailed that the operations led to the seizure of 3 kilograms of narcotics in Diyala Governorate, along with 48 kilograms in Basra Governorate. The accused have been referred to the judiciary for further legal proceedings.
