Salah al-Din: Detachments from the Energy Police Directorate arrested two suspects on Monday for smuggling petroleum products in Salah al-Din Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was carried out by detachments from the Second Energy Police Brigade in the governorate, in coordination with the Energy Police Intelligence Department. The operation resulted in the arrest of two suspects accused of smuggling petroleum products and the seizure of their two vehicles loaded with petroleum products packaged in 220-liter plastic barrels, without official documents.

The Directorate’s statement added that the two vehicles, along with their drivers and the remaining seized items, were handed over to one of the governorate’s anti-crime offices, according to the jurisdiction.
