Diyala: Diyala Police arrested two suspects, one of them a foreign national, on charges of drug trafficking.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Director of Media for Diyala Police, Brigadier General Haitham Al-Shammari, stated that a security detachment apprehended a foreign truck driver at the Al-Mundhiriyah border crossing, northeast of Baqubah. The suspect was found in possession of a quantity of narcotic pills during a routine vehicle search.

In a separate incident, another suspect was arrested by a detachment from the Department of Checkpoints and External Roads Affairs. This arrest took place at the Al-Ghalbiyah checkpoint, southwest of Baqubah, where the suspect was also found with narcotic pills.
