BEIRUT: The UAE ship “Mira” docked at Beirut Port, delivering 2,000 tons of vital food supplies and technical equipment intended for shelter centers in Lebanon. This initiative is part of the UAE’s “Together for Lebanon” effort, aimed at providing support to the nation amidst ongoing challenges.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the arrival of the ship marks the commencement of a series of relief shipments designed to aid displaced families in Lebanon. Caretaker Health Minister Dr. Firas Abiad expressed Lebanon’s appreciation for the assistance and underscored the importance of a diplomatic solution to the continuing hostilities in the region. He highlighted the UAE’s ongoing commitment to Lebanon’s stability through such support.
Dr. Abiad also emphasized the importance of maintaining transparency in the distribution of aid. He mentioned that the process will be coordinated with the UAE and other supporting nations to ensure effective and fair distribution of the resources to those in need.
