Undersecretary of Oil Ministry Meets with British Company on Kirkuk Oil Fields Project


Baghdad: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Extraction Affairs, Bassem Mohammed Khudair, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Joint Management Committee for the Kirkuk Four Fields Project, which has been transferred to the British company BP, at the headquarters of the North Oil Company.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on exploring ways to enhance joint cooperation between the Ministry of Oil and BP. The discussions also covered future plans to develop extraction operations and improve the technical performance in the oil fields operated by the North Oil Company.



This visit aligns with the Ministry of Oil’s commitment to monitoring field work progress and supporting efforts aimed at achieving goals in the oil sector, including enhancing production capabilities and improving operational efficiency.



The meeting was attended by high-level officials, including the Director General of the Legal Department, the Director General of the Technical Department, and the Director General of the Reservoir and Field Development Department. Additionally, representatives from the Petroleum Contracts and Licensing Department, the North Oil Company, and the North Gas Company were present.
