Baghdad: The University of Baghdad has entered into an academic cooperation agreement with Philipps University of Marburg, Germany, as part of the Erasmus+ program for 2026. This initiative is part of a broader framework aimed at facilitating academic and scientific exchanges and fostering joint cooperation between the two institutions.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that the cooperation will involve the implementation of programs for the exchange of students, faculty members, and staff. These exchanges will adhere to the approved procedures and regulations. Additionally, the program will include the accreditation of completed courses and credit units, thereby organizing academic mobility pathways and enabling the exchange of scientific and academic expertise between the two universities.
The President of the University of Baghdad, Alaa Abdul-Hassan Al-Zughaibi, emphasized that this cooperation is aligned with the university’s strategy to expand its international academic relations. It aims to provide exchange opportunities for students, faculty members, and staff, facilitating the sharing of academic and scientific expertise and experiences between the partnering universities.
