Basra: State of Law Coalition candidate Amjad Talib al-Sumairi was targeted in a shooting today by unknown gunmen in Umm Qasr district, west of Basra.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a security source stated: “Unknown gunmen in a Crown vehicle with no license plates opened fire on State of Law Coalition candidate Amjad Talib al-Sumairi as he was driving his car in Umm Qasr district. He was unharmed, and the gunmen fled. Security forces have launched an investigation into the incident.”
