Erbil: US Special Envoy to Iraq, Tom Barak, condemned the attack on the office of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Masrour Barzani, affirming full support for Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi’s leadership in restoring Iraq’s full sovereignty.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Barak expressed his condemnation through a post on the X platform, stating, “We strongly condemn the attack on the office of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region in Erbil.” He emphasized that the attack on the Kurdish allies is unacceptable and poses a direct threat to regional stability.

Barak further emphasized, “We will not condone or tolerate these actions.” He reiterated the United States’ unwavering support for Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi in his efforts to restore Iraq’s full sovereignty and ensure that all weapons and security forces remain under the authority of the Iraqi state.
