US Fighter Jets Launch 17 Raids on Saada Governorate Overnight

Saada: US fighter jets carried out a series of raids targeting several areas in Yemen, particularly in Saada Governorate, the stronghold of the Houthi group.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, US fighter jets carried out 17 raids on Saada Governorate, noting that the raids extended, at dawn today, to the Harf Sufyan District, affiliated with Amran and bordering Saada. The Harf Sufyan District includes Houthi military facilities nestled deep within its mountains.

According to Yemeni sources, the raids were concentrated in the Sahar and Al Salem districts in Kitaf, in addition to other areas. Saada witnessed 12 airstrikes yesterday, Tuesday, targeting military and civilian facilities.

Since March 15, the United States has been launching intensive airstrikes against the Houthis, who they said responded by targeting a US aircraft carrier in the Red Sea several times. The Houthi group said in a statement that the operation targeted “hostile warships in the Red Sea, led by the aircraft carrier (Harry) Truman, from which the aggression against our country is launched.”

The group indicated that the confrontation with US forces lasted for several hours. The statement confirmed the continued confrontation with US forces and the prevention of Israeli navigation in the area of operations, stressing that the operations will not cease “until the hostilities cease and the siege on the Gaza Strip is lifted,” calling for action to stop the genocide against the population of the Strip.
