Tel aviv: The US Central Command has announced that the Ninth Air Force will conduct a readiness exercise across the Middle East. This multi-day exercise is aimed at showcasing the ability to deploy, distribute, and maintain combat air capabilities in the region, while also strengthening partnerships with regional allies.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the exercise will focus on preparing for a flexible response by verifying procedures for rapid deployment of personnel and aircraft. It will also involve distributed operations to emergency sites and logistical support, all with minimal resources. US forces will deploy teams to multiple locations, ensuring that all activities are conducted with host nation approval and in coordination with civil and military aviation authorities, prioritizing safety and respect for sovereignty.
This military exercise coincides with reports from Israel’s Channel 13 that a US strike force, led by the USS Abraham Lincoln, has arrived in the Middle East from the South C
hina Sea. The presence of the aircraft carrier is intended to increase pressure and provide President Donald Trump with strategic options, should he consider a military action against Iran.
Furthermore, Israeli Army Radio reported an assessment from Tel Aviv indicating that the current US military deployment in the Middle East has reached unprecedented levels, marking the highest presence since last year’s military operation against Iran. In recent weeks, President Trump has threatened military action against Tehran, although he has recently softened his stance, acknowledging reports of halted executions of protesters in Iran, while confirming ongoing military preparations.
