Washington:US Secretary of State Marco Rubio affirmed on Saturday that the United States remains open to diplomatic solutions with Iran.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Rubio stated that the US is willing to engage in diplomatic solutions with Iran as long as these do not compromise national security.

He emphasized that discussions with Iran are ongoing, with their duration to be determined by US President Donald Trump. Rubio also noted Iran’s ambitions to acquire nuclear weapons, asserting that such ambitions will not be realized. Additionally, he mentioned that President Trump has not made a decision regarding any potential military action against Iran.
