Washington:The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, stated that Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi’s July visit to Washington reaffirmed the close friendship between the United States and Iraq.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Rubio congratulated the people of Iraq on their National Day on October 3. He emphasized that Al-Zaidi’s meeting with President Trump at the White House reinforced the strong ties and shared commitment to a prosperous future between the two nations.

Rubio pointed out that the historic economic partnerships announced during the visit showcase the potential for cooperation between American and Iraqi businesses. He also expressed support for Iraq’s efforts to strengthen its sovereignty and contribute to regional security and stability.
