Washington: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that US President Donald Trump is prepared to take all necessary measures to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, noting that Trump has been very clear on this matter. Rubio added in a press statement that Ansar Allah claim to be targeting US ships, but the missiles they launch fall within 100 miles of each other and pose no real threat, prompting the US Department of Defense to consider the situation under control.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Rubio pointed out that the current Houthi attacks are less intense compared to the peak of the previous crisis, when they attacked the US fleet 150 times and global commercial vessels 170 times. Rubio warned Iran against providing any support to Ansar Allah, stressing that Tehran will be held accountable for this. He noted that Iran continues to provide assistance to the Ansar Allah, albeit less overtly than before, which is unacceptable and must change.
