Baghdad: Detachments from the Energy Police Directorate seized four vehicles used for smuggling petroleum products and arrested their drivers in three governorates.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, detachments from the Third, Fourth, and Sixth Energy Police Brigades in the governorates of Diyala, Baghdad, and Diwaniyah conducted the operations. The Energy Police Intelligence Department coordinated the efforts, leading to the capture of the vehicles involved in the illicit activities.

The necessary legal measures were taken against the individuals involved in accordance with Law No. 41 of 2008 on Combating the Smuggling of Oil and Its Derivatives. This operation represents a continued effort by the authorities to curb illegal activities related to petroleum product smuggling in the region.
