Diwaniyah: The Diwaniyah Provincial Council has decided to dismiss Ahmed Khubat, the Director General of Education in Diwaniyah, from his position.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Diwaniyah Provincial Council's media office stated in a press release: "Eight out of the 13 members of the Diwaniyah Provincial Council voted to dismiss the director after a session in which he was questioned in absentia."
