Basra: Weather forecaster Sadiq Attiya warned today, Friday, of a weather system accompanied by a wave of dense to moderate fog sweeping across wide areas tonight and into the early hours of Saturday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the fog map includes: "Large areas of Basra and western Samawah, in addition to Kuwait, causing a significant decrease in horizontal visibility."

Attiya urged "citizens and drivers to exercise extreme caution due to the reduced horizontal visibility in these areas to ensure public safety."
