Baghdad: The Wasit Provincial Council has announced it will hold an emergency session next Monday to address the recent incident that occurred in the province, with the attendance of Governor Mohammad Jameel Al-Mayahy and a number of local and security officials. A statement issued by the council said, ‘The emergency session will include the attendance of Wasit Governor Mohammad Jameel Al-Mayahy, his two deputies, the Police Chief of the province, and the Mayor of Kut District.’

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the session will also host the Director General of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior, the Director of Organized Crime, as well as the Director General of Wasit Health Department, to review the circumstances of the incident and discuss the actions taken in response.
