Wasit Provincial Council Urges Immediate Action on Electricity Crisis


Wasit: The head of the Wasit Provincial Council, along with its members, convened to address the concerning decline in electricity supply hours in the province. The meeting highlighted the frequent outages and discussed urgent measures and solutions needed to tackle the crisis and enhance the electricity supply level.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the council has urged members of parliament representing Wasit to take swift action by engaging with the Ministry of Electricity. They emphasized the need for intervention with the central government and relevant authorities to devise quick and tangible solutions to the ongoing electricity crisis. The council stressed the importance of maintaining continued coordination with federal authorities to address the underlying reasons for the decline in supply and to improve the electricity situation throughout the province.
