Wasit Residents Stage Sit-In to Demand Increased Electricity Allocation

Wasit: An open-ended sit-in began tonight in front of the Wasit Provincial Council building, demanding that the province be granted its full share of electricity and that its allocation be increased to 1500 megawatts to ensure improved electricity supply hours for citizens.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the sit-in will continue until Sunday morning, with protesters demanding an increase in the province's energy quota and improved supply hours to meet the needs of Wasit residents. The protesters affirmed their continued demonstration to demand the province's rightful share of electricity, emphasizing the necessity of raising Wasit's allocation to 1500 megawatts to improve the current supply situation.
