Anbar: The Ministry of Water Resources announced a campaign to remove encroachments and monitor water levels and distribution in eastern Anbar Governorate. The ministry stated in a press release: “Based on the directives of the Minister of Water Resources, Muthanna al-Tamimi, the Water Resources Directorate in eastern Anbar, with the support of security forces, launched a campaign to remove encroachments on the al-Mashhaniya Canal and to operate the pumping station in al-Jazira and al-Khairat with three pumps, in order to increase water quantities to the beneficiary areas and regulate the distribution process.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the directorate is continuing its work to operate the pumping station of the al-Amiriya drainage network to ensure the smooth flow of drainage water and its continued efficient operation. Efforts are being made to implement the rationing system and monitor water distribution in irrigation canals and ditches to ensure equitable access to water treatment plants and agricultural lands within its area of responsibility.

Additionally, as part of the daily monitoring of water levels and locations, the monitoring committee in the East Anbar Water Resources Directorate continues joint monitoring with the National Center for Water Resources Management. This includes tracking water levels in the Al-Tahdud area, the Euphrates arm, and the Al-Saqlawiyah Bridge to ensure accurate readings and the continued regular distribution of water.
