Anbar: A Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) unit seized weapons and ammunition in a security operation in Anbar. A statement by the PMF said: “A joint force from the 57th Brigade of the PMF and security forces carried out a security operation within their area of responsibility in the Hit district, west of Anbar, to search for remnants of war left by ISIS terrorists in order to dismantle and dispose of them to protect civilians. The operation resulted in the seizure of a number of weapons and a quantity of ammunition.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was aimed at eliminating potential threats posed by leftover explosives and arms in the region. The PMF emphasized the importance of these operations in ensuring the safety and security of civilians in areas previously controlled by ISIS. The joint forces continue their efforts to locate and neutralize any remaining hazardous materials that could pose a danger to the local population.
