Baghdad: The head of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), Judge Faiq Zidan, discussed with U.S. Charg© d’Affaires in Baghdad, Joshua Harris, the procedures regarding entities and individuals who carry weapons in violation of the law.

According to Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the judiciary indicated that “the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidan, received the Charg© d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Iraq, Joshua Harris.” The statement explained that during the meeting, they discussed judicial procedures following the end of the international coalition’s mission in Iraq on September 30, concerning entities and individuals bearing arms in violation of the constitution and the law, and mechanisms for enforcing the principle of the rule of law for all.
