Baghdad: The Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Dr. Faiq Zidan, met with Bafel Talabani, the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, to discuss important issues concerning public legal affairs. The discussions primarily focused on the judiciary’s procedures in preparation for the upcoming parliamentary elections and emphasized the significance of participation in these elections.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting held today highlighted the role of the judiciary in ensuring fair and transparent electoral processes. Both parties acknowledged the critical nature of the judiciary’s work in the electoral context and deliberated on strategies to enhance public confidence in the electoral system.
