Army Chief of Staff Stresses From Mosul The Importance Of Preparing Plans To Prevent Recurrence Of Bombing Power Line Towers In Nineveh

Mosul The Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Yarallah, arrived in Nineveh Governorate with a number of military commanders to inspect the security units and develop alternative plans to protect the towers for energy transmission throughout the axes of Nineveh Governorate.

Yarallah said in a press statement, “We stress from Mosul the need to develop plans to prevent the recurrence of detonating the towers of the electric power transmission lines in all axes of the city of Mosul.”

He added that “Nineveh governorate witnessed explosions in the electric power towers, along with the governorates of Kirkuk, Salah al-Din and others. Therefore, there will be alternative plans to protect the power towers from armed terrorist acts.”
