Baghdad The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, offered condolences to the press community on the death of journalist Ismail Zayer.
Salih said in a telegram of condolence: “We received with great sadness and sorrow the news of the death of the journalist Ismail Zayer, editor-in-chief of Al-Sabah Al-Jaded newspaper.”
He added, “While we extend our condolences to the media and press circles and to the family of the deceased for this painful affliction, we remember the role of the late in enriching the press and media process through his presiding over the editorship of a number of newspapers.”
