Karbala: 500,000 students will head to school this year in Karbala, as confirmed by Mohammed Al-Masoudi, head of the Education Committee and a member of the Karbala Provincial Council. The students will be attending primary, intermediate, secondary, and vocational schools for the 2026/2027 academic year.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Masoudi assured that all schools are fully prepared to receive students. However, he pointed out an issue with the delayed arrival of textbooks at the Karbala Education Directorate’s warehouses, which is affecting the distribution process. Efforts are being made to address this, as the Ministry of Education has been contacted to expedite the delivery of the books.
