59 Shops Closed for Health Violations in New Baghdad

New baghdad: The Health Control Division in the New Baghdad Primary Healthcare Sector announced the closure of 59 shops in August for failing to comply with health regulations. The division reported that these closures were the result of a series of inspections conducted to ensure public safety.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the inspection teams carried out 25 field visits to assess the compliance of shops and markets with health regulations. These visits led to the identification and subsequent closure of 59 establishments that did not meet the required health standards.

The division also collected 63 samples for laboratory testing, aiming to verify the safety and suitability of the materials and products offered to consumers. Furthermore, the inspection teams destroyed quantities of food deemed unfit for human consumption. The division emphasized that these inspections and legal actions against violators will continue in order to protect public health.
